Sarah Pilzer

Like many other children of the folk world, Sarah chose to attend Oberlin College in Oberlin, OH and graduated in May 2005 with a B.A. in Biology. After participating in the S.E.A. Semester program as part of a 34-member crew that sailed on the S.S.V. Robert C. Seamans, Sarah returned to shore to join the administrative support team for the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Global Health Program. Sarah discovered a deep passion for spreadsheets and organizing data while working for WCS and decided to return to school to put those skills to use in the context of her interest in marine biology. Sarah was granted a Master’s degree from Boston University in 2015 for her marine bioacoustic research regarding the sounds of damselfish.
